President and Founder, BlueFoot Marketing August 2005-present
As president of BlueFoot Marketing, I provide strategic counsel and implementation support to clients in the areas of website usability and design; lead generation; search engine marketing and optimization; social networking; and marketing communications. I also conduct best practices workshops and seminars for my clients and help them develop the most effective outbound marketing mix. Enkata, Director Marketing Communications February-August 2005
While at Enkata, I developed and managed database marketing campaigns with response rates of over 10% and lead conversion rates of over 50%; Conducted agency search for the company’s first PR firm; Developed and implemented the PR strategy; Managed the creation of a new corporate website; Launched webinar programs; Established an industry advisory council; Wrote, edited and managed the production of collateral and promotional materials.

KnowNow, Inc. Director of Marketing 2003- 2005
I managed all corporate communications; wrote content for and managed the corporate website; developed web-based lead-generation campaigns including cost-per-click search engine marketing that increased targeted traffic to the corporate website by over 100%; Managed marketing communications, trade shows, seminars and public relations; Wrote whitepapers and sales collateral; Developed and managed partner-marketing programs.

Sabbatical 2002-2003
During my sabbatical I traveled throughout Central America and Mexico. While traveling I coordinated and participated in volunteer projects including disaster relief in El Salvador, school fundraising and repair in Mexico, and distribution of clothing and school supplies in Guatemala and Costa Rica.

Lutris, Director of Marketing Communications 2000-2002
Tasked with transforming this consultancy into an open source software vendor, I built a six-person team to manage public relations, marketing communications, marketing operations, and events; Managed worldwide product launches; Developed product collateral and packaging; Implemented tiered public relations campaigns that established company founders as leaders in the open source software community and developed awareness for a new product line; Developed a lead generation strategy that leveraged customer successes and partners to drive over 300 qualified webinar attendees six times a year, and consistently generated 3-4% response rates to direct mail campaigns.

As an independent consultant, I provided strategic counsel, wrote marketing materials, resources and managed the implementation of marketing programs for clients including Software, The Kimball Group, Lutris, and Saqqara Systems.

I worked closely with the company founders to help take this start-up from early R& market entry, up to IPO; I managed all marketing programs; Conducted research; Managed launches; Developed and maintained corporate standards; Implemented an integrated direct marketing strategy that supported 150% annual revenue growth; Created seminar received response rates of 3-6%, exceeding attendance goals by over 50%; Consistently response rates on direct mail campaigns; Managed an outsourced telesales organization closed-loop lead management system.
